The Village
Morazha — where the forest
still remembers.
Tucked within the hills of Morazha in Kannur district, Vaidekam sits at the edge of a Malabar forest — a landscape shaped for centuries by the twin rhythms of the monsoon and the vaidya's knowledge. The village is named from two Sanskrit roots: vaidya, the physician, and ekam, the one — the idea that healing begins when medicine and patient become a single, undivided attention.
Kannur has always been a land of fierce conviction — home to Theyyam, the living deity tradition; to the weavers of Kaithari handloom; to a coastline that has traded spices and stories for two thousand years. Vaidekam draws from this soil. The herbs growing in the treatment gardens are from the local forests. The physicians who practise here hold classical BAMS training alongside deep regional familiarity. The food served at your table is grown, not sourced.
This is not a resort that has added an Ayurveda menu. It is an Ayurvedic space that offers you a place to sleep.
